This was the final two day steam gala for "enthusiasts" prior to the setting up of the annual Christmas Festivities. During the early part of Saturday afternoon, the five winning tickets for "The B17 2025 Grand Draw" was made by Andrew Devine, representing the GCR Staff at Quorn, and overseen by Richard Taylor.

From 25th October to 2nd November, the NNR held a Fiftieth Finale, celebrating the Railway’s Golden Anniversary since reopening in 1975. Starring for the Finale was 70000 "Britannia", arriving via the level crossing at Sheringham, alongside LMS 2-8-0 53809.

We had the pleasure of attending "Giants of Steam" at the Bluebell Railway, an event highlighting the new chapter of railway preservation. It aimed to be the biggest gathering of newly built standard gauge steam locomotives.

This gala featured eight steam locomotives operating passenger and freight services. The stars of the show were LMS Jubilee 45596 "Bahamas" (with double chimney) and an LNWR Tank Loco, both visiting from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.

Marking 200 years since the Stockton to Darlington Railway, the B17 Trust attended the "Greatest Gathering" at Derby. The centrepiece of our display was the assembly of the B17 Smokebox Door, complete with Ring, Seal, Hinge Straps, and Dart.
