From 25th October to 2nd November, the NNR held a Fiftieth Finale, celebrating the Railway’s Golden Anniversary since reopening in 1975. Starring for the Finale was 70000 "Britannia", arriving via the level crossing at Sheringham, alongside LMS 2-8-0 53809.
B17 SLT attended the first weekend (25/26 Oct) with our stand located in the Booking Hall at Weybourne station—a pleasant contrast to being open to the elements at Sheringham!
While the weekend was quieter than hoped, John Pearson and Richard Taylor had great views of Britannia steaming through the station on its non-stop runs.
