After a two-year overhaul and the fitment of ETCS signalling equipment, "Tornado" finally returned to service at the Nene Valley Railway. We set up our stand at Wansford station to support the return.

Flooding from the River Soar made parking impossible on Friday, but the team persevered at Quorn and Woodhouse Station Yard. While Friday and Saturday were quiet, Sunday brought a busy rush of visitors.

Located on the Island Platform at Bewdley, we attended the SVR's Autumn Gala. Visiting locos included the Lancashire & Yorkshire "Pug" No. 11456, Jubilee "Bahamas", and "Lady of Legend".

After years at North Norfolk, the Board chose a central venue at the Nene Valley Railway to encourage members from further afield. We had exclusive use of 64 seats for unlimited travel.

The Sandringham Flower Show Committee invited B17 to occupy a position in a Gazebo provided by themselves on The Royal Route. Unfortunately, King Charles and Queen Camilla were unable to attend due to other engagements.
