After the disappointment caused by the cancellation of 'Flying Scotsman's' excursion, the opportunity to attend the Yaxley Village Festival was a welcome opportunity two days later.
The site of the festival was in the Guides/Scouts field on the outskirts of the village. Visitor numbers on Saturday morning were low, but this gradually grew and kept the Trust's members busy talking about B17s. Total receipts achieved would certainly warrant a further visit to this non railway site.
