The Trust had a stand at this year’s London Festival of Railway Modelling, the first time we have attended this particular show at Alexandra Palace and always a wonderful venue to attend.
At the centre of the stand was our Spirit of Sandringham nameplate and an O gauge model of the loco. We have a good story to tell of our progress moving steadily towards turning the static chassis into a rolling 0-6-0. One highlight was when two guys from across the ‘pond’ started to discuss the project with us; it transpired they were two model railway engineers working with Sir Rod Stewart, our patron.
