Our third Open Day at CTL Seal in Sheffield showcased the construction of "Spirit of Sandringham" and "Hengist". The star of the show was the Smokebox Wrapper on a temporary saddle and the bright red painted bufferbeam.
Visitors saw the massive Cannonbox for the rear coupled wheels, machined Hornblocks bolted in position, and a stack of five driving wheels. We also hosted the University of Sheffield’s RCAS team with their miniature loco.
